James Waslaski's work is amazing! It's made such a difference in my practice. I'm able to combine different modalities seamlessly by using his protocol and my work has been more effective with chronic pain relief. My clients also appreciate the fact that I don't have to always do deep tissue-omg-it-bloody-hurts massage. Now I rarely do deep tissue and my clients and hands are far happier. This book isn't the easiest to absorb for new therapists but if you have a strong grasp of anatomy & physiology, then this is the perfect textbook for advanced level therapists.
As a massage therapist I hear from others how difficult it is treating certain conditions i.e. frozen shoulder, patella tracking, shoulder impingement, etc. etc.. James gives clear, concise, methods that have been proven to work time and time again. Since purchasing this book and following his directions exactly as they are laid out I have never had a client come in who I have not been able to resolve their issues in a single session. Every massage school should be using this book in the classroom.
Have his CDs and this book! Took my massage techniques from OK to WOW!!! James Waslaski is a fantastic instructor, you will not be disappointed with this book!
Best book I ever bought. well done James. Easy to follow with great pictures clear instructions. A perfect refresher guide after taking the classes bat can be used as a stand alone reference manual.
If you want the best for your clients this is the book to get, it is a training Manuel and explains the 12 step process. Essential how to Assess clients injuries, Treatment plan, Self care plans. The video series is a must purchase if you cannot personally train with James.
Excellent book, good companion to his video series
I am a Licensed Massage Therapist here in Illinois. I mean I am really serious with what I'm doing and love, love, love this profession that I want to be well knowledgeable in every aspect of it. I bought a lot of DVDs and books about massage and different modalities. Frankly speaking I prefer watching DVDs than reading a book because is am a visual learner, but this book is exceptional I love so much what it is in this book, I love the author for how he shared his knowledge and I love how he explained clearly everything. The best book about massage ever!!!!!!!. I've learned a lot from this book. The best and well taken cared of from my library, crazy but you know how I showed how important this book to me I bought a thick cover and covered this book carefully, and the only book that I sleep with. Hahahaha, I mean I always read this book before I go to bed. I recommend this book to everyone out there in this profession. That's all I can say.
