Lonely Path is another excellent book in the Bohdi King series.Bohdi is in Quebec to present a paper at a pathology convention. He is one of the panel members along with his former school mate and girlfriend, Dr. Eliza Rollins. While going to dinner with Eliza, they come in contact with a young woman they find on the side of the road in a “zombie-like†state. This young woman is one of a growing number of people suffering from the affects of a new “designer drug.â€Bohdi and Eliza are drawn into the investigation and they assist the police in finding the manufacturer and distributor of this drug.Melissa has once again written a story combining an important issue of the day with murder, intrigue and romance!Read the whole book—it will be well worth the time!
A new designer drug either kills the user or leaves them in a zombie state without the ability to communicate. Bodhi King is attending a medical conference in Quebec when he and another doctor discover a young woman who appears to be in a zombie state. Apparently coordination between various jurisdictions in Canada is not as easily achieved as in the USA. Bodhi works with various agencies to find solutions when it seems there are a number of young college students disappearing or dying in Canada. There also appears to be some in a zombie state which is caused by a new drug showing up on the streets. The race is on to find solutions before someone can escape detection by the authorities. I am enjoying this series almost as much as the Sasha series and highly recommend this book.
I liked the first book in the Bodhi King series, but this one was even better! The medical mystery theme of this series is very interesting to me, and I like seeing Bodhi's character develop. This book really got into his character and his past, and I felt that Bodhi really came alive. The other primary character in this book is from another of Melissa Miller's books, and she ended up being very interesting and plays a big role in Bodhi's life.I have pre-ordered book 3. Melissa has me hooked!
I haven't read all of the Sasha M. books so I don't rmbr Bohdi but I really like his character. Interesting tidbits in these about Buddhism and how Dr. King arrives at his conclusions.
Super good book, that is hard to put down.Well written and the story line is very enjoyable. Get all 4 books !
Record you read in order so you really know the characters. Great plot with current events as basic plot. An interesting cast of characters that kept m tee totally involved. Highly recommended as I head to.#3.
I love books by Melissa F. Miller. The Bodhi King series is no exception. This character is very endearing and the mysteries, as usual, make for enjoyable reading.
